Event Update

  • June 2004
  • A total of 3 clinics were held during the June Holidays. Participants from the Civil Service Club were taught Basic Understanding of Dog Massage Therapy.

Everyone had good fun at the park, together with its peace, privacy and tranquility; the whole experience for both owners and dogs was very synergistic and positive.

And of course, our dear 4-legged friends were more than happy to be able to play off leash, make new friends and explore new places. They get fussed over and massaged after play. Many fell asleep, contented with their owner’s loving touch!

It was really the perfect picture in a perfect setting!

  • Singapore Police K9 Unit

Over 4 days in November, Kreature Care conducted a series of courses on basic dog care and massage techniques for the SINGAPORE POLICE K9 UNIT located in Mowbray Road.

It was a very enriching time for all the officers, handlers and even the speaker herself.

Course materials covered include how massage could help these working dogs, dos and don’ts, understanding the dog, the different techniques for different areas of the dog’s body and many more.

Everyone had great fun massaging and spending quality time with their canine partners and friends.

It was a fun filled session for many handlers and the dogs. It was probably the first time that the handler and their dogs had such an intimate session, finding out about each other.

Most importantly, they found out how massage therapy could help their canine friends who are suffering from joint and muscle problems. Through regular massage, their dog’s pain as a result from old age arthritis, injuries and other medical conditions can be significantly reduced.

It will also strengthen their joints and muscles and make them less susceptible to injuries arising from their training.

The last and most important element that they learn from the course is that massage therapy can improve bonding between the dogs and their handlers. This will ensure high level of dependability and trust between them, ensuring a long lasting and loving relationship.
